Philippe Clement, the manager of Rangers, wants to build a winning “machine.”
The goal of Rangers’ manager is to create a winning “machine.”

Aiming to build a relentless “machine” at Rangers, Philippe Clement disclosed that Scott Wright is a serious doubt for Thursday night’s Europa League encounter against Sparta Prague.
Wright came off the bench at Hampden Park on Sunday to help Rangers to victory over Hearts to reach this season’s Viaplay Cup final, but suffered an injury late on.
Kemar Roofe, a striker, is in the squad and may make a brief appearance, but Nicolas Raskin and John Souttar are out.
“That is the style of play I want to see from the team—very bold and aggressive both with and without the ball.
“It is encouraging in that regard, but it is only the beginning. I think a team that sticks together for months is a good team.
“Though I am sitting on the couch thinking, ‘now we can let everything loose and the machine will go,’ I am happy with how things are going.
“We are not there yet, but I want to create a machine and I think this group can create a machine that goes every time.”
Rangers currently sit third in Group C, but if they win on Thursday night and Real Betis loses to Aris Limassol, they could go to the top.
“It is always something special, European nights, and I hope the stadium has a really good vibe,” Clement continued.
“To be very clear, I always want a team that always wants to win. Whether it is against Real Madrid or Prague is irrelevant.
“I am not asking for a draw; I want a team that plays to win games and is ambitious, but at the end of the season, a draw might be crucial.”
