FAREWELL SADLY: Ipswich Town supporters will honor the late adolescent.

Ipswich Town fans are being encouraged to give a round of applause in memory of an 18-year-old fan who died after 13 years of cancer treatment.

Mason Fountain, who had a brain tumor when he was five years old, passed away last month from pneumonia.

His mother, Shelley Fountain, said the outpouring of love for her son from other supporters and athletes was evident.

The club is encouraging supporters to clap on the 18th minute of their game against Leeds United.

Mason’s mother said that her son, who was raised in Ipswich, was a lifelong fan of the Tractor Boys and would be “smiling down” when the game began at 15:00 BST.
