EVERTON IS NOW DETERMINED TO SIGN A £30.6M STRIKER.

Sean Dyche’s Everton are reportedly determined to sign Paris Saint-Germain striker Hugo Ekitike in the summer transfer window.

Journalist Rudy Galetti has reported on Twitter that Everton are “pushing hard” to secure the services of Paris Saint-Germain striker Hugo Ekitike.

The Toffees believe that there will be stiff competition for the French striker and are speeding things up.

The Italian journalist has added that Ekitike, 21, has not made a decision on his future yet.Hugo Ekitike can offer Everton a new dimension in attack amid PSG transfer links - Liverpool Echo

BBC Sport reported this week that Everton want to sign the French striker on a loan deal in the summer transfer window.

Ligue 1 champions PSG have reportedly told the youngster that he is surplus to requirements and is free to leave.

PSG paid Reims £30.6 million in transfer fees for Ekitike (BBC Sport).

Paris Saint-Germain striker Hugo Ekitike would be a smart signing for Everton

In our opinion, Paris Saint-Germain striker Hugo Ekitike would be a smart signing for Everton in the summer transfer window.

Yes, PSG do not think that the striker is good enough to play week in and week out for the first team now, but that the French giants signed him in the first place shows his quality and how highly he is rated in the footballing community.

Everton do need to sign a striker this summer.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin has had injury problems, and Everton manager Sean Dyche needs to have someone in his squad who can replace the striker in the starting lineup whenever needed.

We do not think that Everton should sign Ekitike on a permanent contract.

After all, the Frenchman is 21, and although he has a lot of potential, he is not exactly proven at the very top level.

A loan deal with an option to make it permanent next summer would be sensible for Everton.

The 21-year-old scored 10 goals and gave 3 assists in 15 Ligue 1 starts for Reims in 2021-22 and scored 3 goals and gave 4 assists in 12 Ligue 1 starts for PSG last season.
