Updates on Aston Villa injuries for AZ Alkmaar, including Ramsey and Moreno

Since the beginning of the current season, Aston Villa manager Unai Emery has had to cope with a number of injury setbacks.

In August, Tyrone Mings and Emi Buendia were both declared out for the better part of the season, and Alex Moreno and Jacob Ramsey have also experienced setbacks due to their individual injury concerns. It is anticipated that Moreno and Ramsey will be back in action by the end of the next three weeks, possibly even before the November international break.

Injuries have also plagued Diego Carlos, Bertrand Traore, Boubacar Kamara, Moussa Diaby, Emi Martinez, Leon Bailey, Lender Dendoncker, and Tim Iroegbunam during the opening two months of the year. Here is the most recent injury news before Villa’s match against Alkmaar on Thursday (5:45 p.m. kickoff).

Moreno Alex

Moreno suffered a hamstring injury during last season’s 1-1 draw at Anfield and hasn’t played for Villa since. In September, the left-back was back in the Crystal Palace matchday squad and went to Legia Warsaw with the Villa team, but he was not comfortable enough to play any minutes.

Potential date of return: November 12 – Fulham (H)

Ramsey, Jacob

The foot injury that sidelined Ramsey for ten weeks throughout the summer and the beginning of this season has returned. After recovering from an injury in the loss to Legia Warsaw last month, he started the games against Chelsea and Brighton off the bench, but he will now miss extra weeks of time due to injury.

Potential date of return: November 12 – Fulham (H)
