Done Deal: Just In Colt Confirm Signing Of Another Top Star In The Draft Pick

Abraham had 12 interceptions in his college career.

On Saturday, the Colts selected Marshall cornerback Micah Abraham with the sixth overall pick (number 201) in the 2024 NFL Draft.

Over the previous five years, the 5-foot-10, 185-pound Abraham played in 62 games (46 starts) for Marshall. 12 interceptions, 150 tackles, 43 pass break-ups, one forced fumble, and 2.5 tackles for a loss with the Thundering Herd were his final-season stats as a college player.

In the past two seasons, Abraham has racked up ten interceptions. In 2022 and 2023, he was named to the First Team All-Sun Belt Conference. According to Pro Football Focus, he restricted opposing quarterbacks to a 75.4 passing rating in 2023 when they targeted him in coverage.

Abraham is from Tampa, Florida, and at Marshall’s pro day earlier this year, he ran a 40-yard dash in 4.43 seconds. Donnie, his father, was a member of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and New York Jets during his nine seasons (1996–2004) as an NFL player. He was selected to the Pro Bowl in 2000.

2024 Colts Draft Class: Marshall, Micah Abraham, and CB

On Saturday, the Colts selected Marshall cornerback Micah Abraham with the sixth overall pick (number 201) in the 2024 NFL Draft.

Colts choose Micah Abraham in the 2024 draft with the No. 201 pick.

My CB64 playmaker is Micah Abraham. plays the ball well and picks up a lot of passes. excellent placement and intuition. Ability to return. Not very sporty. not very aggressive. able to be run through and past. struggles with WRs on contested passes. low ceiling.

Clearly, the Colts are betting that Abraham is just a “good football player.” Given enough time, he should be able to contribute right away on special teams and move up the cornerback depth chart.
