Breaking News: Xavier Worthy Disagreed being draft by the Kansas City Chiefs Due To…..

Patrick Mahomes’ new teammate, Xavier Worthy, reacts to being drafted by the Kansas City Chiefs

Xavier Worthy, wide receiver for the Texas Longhorns, is the new teammate of Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce with the Kansas City Chiefs. The speedy receiver was selected following a trade with the Buffalo Bills with the 28th pick in the 2024 NFL Draft held in Detroit.

Worthy’s reaction to knowing he will receive the ball from Mahomes and Kelce’s support on the field looking to defend the Chiefs’ two-time championship together is something to see.

At the NFL Combine in March, Worthy set a record by completing the 40-yard dash in just 4.21 seconds.

During his third season with Texas in 2023, he also managed to pass for over 1,000 yards.

Worthy’s addition comes at a key time in Kansas City, as Rashee Rice faces felony charges in an alleged hit-and-run accident in the Dallas area.

The Chiefs, led by general manager Brett Veach and coach Andy Reid, showed strong interest in acquiring Worthy. Known for their aggressiveness in the draft, Veach negotiated a small trade to move the Chiefs up four spots from their original first-round pick.

What was surprising was that the Chiefs contacted the Buffalo Bills, their AFC rival whom they have beaten in the postseason in three of the last four years, to secure Worthy as the fifth receiver selected in the first round.
