Aaron Judge Comment After Blasts 10th Home Run

With their 10-6 victory at Tropicana Field on Sunday, the Yankees secured a series victory over the Tampa Bay Rays.

-Aaron Judge is getting angrier. Judge took a hard stance against a no-doubter at the beginning of the fifth. It was not only his season’s tenth home run, but also his fourth big fly in the previous seven outings. Although Judge’s season has begun as he, the team, and the fans had hoped, he is presently hitting.235 for the entire campaign.

-Luis Gil has been an incredible asset to the Yankees thus far this season, and he demonstrated this once more on Sunday. Gil pitched six scoreless innings without recording a lot of strikeouts.

The right-hander’s season ERA dropped to 2.51 after he gave up just three hits, struck out three, and walked two.

-On Sunday, the Bronx Bombers proved worthy of their moniker by igniting the offense with five home runs. First, in the third inning, Jahmai Jones smashed a solo home run, his first major league bomb. The Yankees led 4-0 when Jose Trevino crushed a two-run home drive to left. After then, Judge’s two-run home run in the sixth inning made it 6-0.

Gleyber Torres hammered a three-run home ball in the eighth to give New York some breathing room at 9-5, then Trevino added his second of the game to make it a five-run advantage. This came after the Yankees bullpen almost collapsed (more on that in a minute).

-In the seventh inning, Caleb Ferguson gave the Rays a chance to immediately retake the lead. After loading the bases with two hits and a walk, Jose Siri made him pay handsomely with a grand slam. Ferguson has been a problem for the Yankees out of the bullpen all season. On Sunday, he only recorded one out while giving up four runs, which increased his ERA to 6.43.

In the seventh, Nick Burdi was even more terrible, giving up two walks and a hit-by pitch that loaded the bases once more. The Yankees were able to escape trouble because to Luke Weaver’s entry, but the five-run deficit was soon reduced to just one.
