Though the Los Angeles Lakers have two of the highest-paid superstars in the league on the roster, Los Angeles opens the 2023-24 season with only the 11th highest payroll in the league at $168 million.

LeBron James is set to make just over $47 million this season, which ranks him in a tie for third place in the league, even with Nikola Jokic and Joel Embiid.

Anthony Davis is not far behind with a salary of $40.6 million. Davis signed a 3-year contract extension earlier this year worth $186 million that will see him earn $62 million during the 2026-27 season.
