Ohio State football at Wisconsin score predictions: Badgers make hostile hosts for Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) –Ohio State football coach Ryan Day says Saturday’s trip to Camp Randall Stadium in Wisconsin will be his first.

Perhaps he will enjoy the experience more than some of his forefathers. The previous time the Buckeyes visited Madison was in 2016, a year before Day arrived. The team led by Urban Meyers required overtime to win 30-23.

The previous visit was in 2012, and OSU also won in overtime. Wisconsin won by a score of 31-18 in 2010. In the previous 20 years, the most “comfortable” road win at Wisconsin was a three-point victory in 2008.

Ohio State, on the other hand, has won the last nine meetings, including a 52-21 triumph in Ohio Stadium last season. The Buckeyes were projected as 14.5-point favorites against the DraftKings line, with a 45.5-point total over/under.

With all due respect to Aen, I do not believe Wisconsin will be able to consistently move the ball against a defense like this. In seven games, the Buckeyes have given up eight touchdowns. If original starting quarterback Tanner Mordecai were healthy, the Badgers might be able to mount a more serious challenge. I believe their ground game can control the clock, but if Ohio State’s offense is genuinely healthier than it has been in weeks, Luke Fickell’s team will struggle to keep up.
