Bright lights shine on the Big Ten The Wisconsin Badgers (5-2, 3-4 ATS, 3-1 Big Ten) will host the #3 Ohio State Buckeyes (7-0, 4-2-1 ATS, 5-0 Big Ten) on Saturday night. Following a high-profile victory over #7 Penn State at home, Ohio State defeated them 20–12 as 5-point favorites. Wisconsin recently defeated Illinois 25–21 on the road, covering as 3-point road favorites. The Buckeyes prevailed 52–21 at home in their previous meeting between these teams. Right now, Ohio State is favored by 14.5 points on the road. Kickoff, which can be found on NBC, is set for 7:30 from Madison’s Camp Randall Stadium.

With convincing victories over Penn State and Notre Dame, the Ohio State Buckeyes are still undefeated in the regular season. They will still have to play Michigan in their regular season finale, but this matchup against Wisconsin may be their toughest test before meeting the Wolverines. The Ohio State defense limited Penn State to just 240 yards of total offense and 1-16 on third down conversions in their most recent game. Offensively, star receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. went off for 11 catches with 162 yards and a touchdown. Head coach Ryan Day praised Harrison following the game, saying, “It would be difficult for me to find somebody who is better in the country, but I have not seen everybody play across the country.”The Buckeyes are led by 6’3 junior quarterback Kyle McCord. He is averaging 276.7 yards per game and leads the Big Ten in passing yards. He has a strong 12-1 TD-INT ratio, and his QBR of 87.1 ranks 5th in the nation. He has not thrown an interception since the first game of the season against Indiana. Harrison Jr. is leading the Big Ten in receiving yards per game, averaging 109.4 yards, and has six touchdowns. He might be the best player in the nation. Another elite wide receiver, Emeka Egbuka, has struggled this season due to a leg injury; he is listed as questionable for Saturday’s game. TreVeyon Henderson (44 carries, 295 yards) and Chip Trayanum (60 carries, 257 yards) share carries out of the backfield.

Ohio State leads the Big Ten in total offense with an average of 431.9 yards per game. They are 3rd in the conference in scoring, averaging 33.7 points per game, and their defense also ranks 3rd allowing just 10.0 per game. Linebacker Tommy Eichenberg leads the team in tackles with 54, while defensive end JT Tuimoloau leads the way with four sacks. The defense has seven takeaways over seven games, with five interceptions all coming from different players.
