JUST IN: Jim Harbaugh sends clear message to Michigan ahead of Ohio State huge clash

The No. 3 Michigan Wolverines will host the No. 2 Ohio State Buckeyes in Ann Arbor this Saturday in one of the most important games in the history of their storied rivalry.

The winner will finish the season undefeated and advance to the Big Ten Championship Game, where they will face an almost certainly outmatched Iowa Hawkeyes team.

The loser will most likely be eliminated from the College Football Playoff, instead playing in a New Year’s Six bowl game.

These stakes, combined with Ohio State’s recent losses to Michigan and Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh serving the final game of his three-game suspension, have resulted in a classic rivalry game.

With all of the outside noise surrounding the game, Harbaugh and the Wolverines could easily lose focus.

Speaking to the media on Monday, the ninth-year head coach and former Michigan quarterback made it clear that the only thing on his mind is Ohio State, not what happens next for Harbaugh or the program.

“Everyone’s attention is on Ohio State right now; that’s where we are.” That is the emphasis. Focusing on the task at hand is part of the life lesson. When you have a big task ahead of you, you have to use it every day, every hour, and every minute. Plan, practice, and perfect yourself.

“Put yourself in a position to go out there and play to your full potential,” Harbaugh said.

Harbaugh’s suspension is only effective on gameday, so he can be present at practice all week.
