The 22-year-old has teamed up with Kieran McKenna, a former Man United manager who is currently in charge of a Championship team that is expected to have a successful season.
Brandon Williams, a recent graduate of the Manchester United academy, has signed a season-long loan agreement with Ipswich Town of the Championship.
The left-back has participated in just two of United’s eight preseason games this summer, and he has only played five competitive minutes under Erik ten Hag.Williams has played for his childhood club in 51 senior matches overall, 50 of which have been under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
The defender’s first season under Ten Hag was initially plagued by injuries after being loaned out to Norwich City for the 2021/22 season.
His lone action under the Dutchman was a brief cameo in December’s 2-0 Carabao Cup victory against Burnley, United’s first match following the World Cup break.

Williams told the club’s website on his brief relocation to Portman Road, where he has reconnected with former United first team coach Kieran McKenna, “It feels nice to be down here and I can’t wait to get started. I’m come here with the hopes of making the squad and participating in lots of games.
“There is some excellent competition, which is a terrific challenge, but I can’t wait to get started and meet the players. It’s wonderful for me to get back out there and start playing again since I had a tough couple of seasons after having a lot of games when I first broke through at United.
Ipswich, who earned second place and was promoted from League One last year, has had a great start to life in the Championship, winning all three of their first games.
