GOOD NEWS: According to Sean McVay, the team is healthy with the exception of one player.
The Los Angeles Rams will return from their bye week in Week 11 to face the Seattle Seahawks, and according to head coach Sean McVay, this is also the team’s healthiest week all season.
All of the players, including Rob Havenstein, Ernest Jones, Matthew Stafford, and Cobie Dirant, are questionable because of a shoulder injury.
The Rams were dealing with a couple of key injuries heading into the bye week. The vacation week couldn’t have come at a better time. The Rams were missing quarterback Matthew Stafford and defensive end Rob Havenstein in Week 9.
With Havenstein set to return, the Rams’ best offensive line group would be back on the field together. Linebacker Ernest Jones will also return to the lineup after missing the Packers’ game in Week 9.
Tight end Hunter Long could also make his debut on Sunday. Long was promoted from the practice squad to the active roster earlier this week.
McVay said that “they are still working through what that looks like” when questioned about Long’s place on the 48-man game day roster, according to Jackson.
McVay may be correct when he says that the Rams are in the best shape of the season. Due to a hamstring injury, Cooper Kupp missed the first few weeks of the season and was placed on injured reserve at the start of the 2023 campaign.
Since then, the Rams have dealt with injuries to the offensive line as well as a variety of defensive positions.
Los Angeles is 3-6, but they are still in the playoff hunt. They appear to be getting healthier, and depending on how Sunday goes, the Rams could make a run for the final NFC playoff spot.
