Sack Speculation: After speaking with 777 Partners, Sean Dyche responds to the question of his future at Everton.

Sean Dyche claims that his meeting with 777 Partners was way more casual than that and had nothing to do with them supporting him as Everton’s manager moving ahead.

At his pre-match press conference on Thursday (21 September) ahead of the Brentford game, the Toffees manager was asked directly if he was on the agenda during the negotiations. He said that it had instead been a matter of the potential purchasers getting information from him on the challenges at the club.

While Dyche’s job has been questioned by both fans and analysts due to the team’s dismal start to the season, he has said in the past week that the previous season had been the worst time of his career and that the funds were tighter than he had anticipated in the summer.

Dyche stated: No, nothing about it, much more casual than that on Thursday at 1:38 p.m. More fully absorbing my thoughts. I’ve been here long enough to see some of the problems that, in my opinion, we all mistakenly assumed existed before realizing they did.

How we overcome challenges to end the last season in the way that we did, completed that assignment, and then what we’re attempting to create moving ahead.

So really, absorbing the information we were giving out and some of the feel of what’s going on, and some of the facts as well.

Eye-opener

The current impression is that 777 Partners are willing to support Dyche based on the work he has done thus far. The Athletic, 18 September], but for the time being they were at a loss for words.

Although they are said to be confident, nobody knows for sure if they will receive regulatory approval, therefore a managerial change wouldn’t be considered until those obstacles have been overcome.

With no certainty as to who will be paying Dyche’s salary moving forward, it is undoubtedly unpleasant for Dyche to share the difficulties he has been experiencing under the current employer with his potential new bosses.

While the manager has remained fairly diplomatic throughout his time in charge at Goodison Park, and clearly knew things were not all rosy when he arrived, he has suggested that there have been more issues to deal with behind the scenes than even he expected.

Although his overall record hasn’t been stellar and the start to the new season has been quite disappointing in terms of results, he ultimately kept the club up on the final day of the season last term, which now has to be considered a success.

He might be the greatest option available to Everton at the moment, so he must continue working to improve a team of players that never appear to operate as a unit.

Currently, a change appears improbable, but the takeover appeared fairly unlikely not long ago and that appears to be moving along quickly, so nothing can be completely ruled out.
