Burnley vs Everton - goals and highlights after late defeat - Liverpool Echo

Everton team news, line-ups, latest score, goals, TV channel, kick-off time and commentary stream for their Carabao Cup tie against Burnley at Goodison Park

Hello and welcome to the ECHO’s live coverage of the clash between Everton and Burnley at Goodison Park.

For the Blues, so much focus has been on Premier League survival in recent seasons, so a strong run in a cup competition would be a welcome distraction for supporters.

Everton made it to this stage thanks to an impressive 2-1 victory over Aston Villa in the previous round thanks to goals from James Garner and the in-form Dominic Calvert-Lewin. Manager Sean Dyche made a number of changes to the team that night and it’s expected there will be rotation again this evening.

The visitors will be looking to this trip to L4 as a way to kickstart their own season. Vincent Kompany’s side have found life back in the top flight tough after dominating the Championship last season, with a 2-1 loss to Bournemouth on Saturday meaning they remain in the relegation places.

Kicking off at 7:45pm, Joe Thomas and Connor O’Neill will be at Goodison to bring you all the team news, updates and post-match reaction.
