If Everton enters administration, they will lose two points.
In the event that Burnley, Leicester, and Leeds United are successful in receiving their compensation, Everton may now lose two points.
This is in line with the Daily Mail’s report that Everton may be compelled to enter administration.
The Toffees were handed a ten-point deduction this week after they were found guilty of breaching financial fair play rules.
Up until the 2021–2022 season, Everton reported losses of £124.5 million over a three-year period; by contrast, the Premier League will only allow clubs to lose £105 million.
Following their relegation to the Championship earlier this year, Burnley, Leicester, and Leeds announced their intention to sue Everton for an astounding £300 million, or £100 million apiece. The Clarets have just made their way back to the top flight after a single season away.
The three clubs have shared their frustrations that Everton weren’t punished last season, with a ten-point deduction meaning the Toffees would have been relegated last season.
They will now push ahead with their plan following the decision made by the Premier League’s independent regulator, meaning Everton now face being plunged into administration.
