The April 29th episode of Raw emanated from Kansas City and saw WWE conduct the second night of the 2024 Draft. Presenting round 2 of the picks, United States Champion Logan Paul and YouTube star IShowSpeed let the fans know which stars had been drafted to Raw and SmackDown while also shouting out Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes in the crowd. Earlier in the night, Paul was seen arriving in the parking lot and met up with the NFL star.

During the second round, Strowman was drafted to Raw, much to the surprise of the announce team. Following the conclusion of the third round, Paul made his way to the ring and stated that Jey Uso had no chance of defeating Damian Priest and becoming World Heavyweight Champion at Backlash. Uso interrupted and disagreed with the United States Champion’s prediction before being attacked by Finn Balor and JD McDonagh.

As the beatdown continued, Paul made his way over to Mahones and was given the quarterback’s Super Bowl rings. Looking to strike Jey Uso with them, Uso ducked and McDonagh was the one who ended up getting hit. As the beatdown continued, Strowman’s music hit and The Monster made his way to the ring. As Paul fled, Balor was hit with a chokeslam.

Chasing Paul away, the former World Champion turned his attention to Mahomes. As Strowman and the NFL star stared each other down, Uso ushered Strowman away.

Since May 2023, Braun Strowman has been sidelined while he recovers from neck fusion surgery, which involved the fusion of his C4 and C5 vertebrae. In a recent interview, Braun Strowman recalled a reassuring conversation with Triple H.

Even though The Monster has defeated some of the biggest names in the business, won The Greatest Royal Rumble, and been a multiple World Champion, one match is not seen as favorably as others. While some were critical of what took place, Braun Strowman has previously defended the divisive WWE match.
