The Champions League and Premier League champions, City, and Wrexham, respectively, have each won 22 games so far this year.

Parkinson stated that his League Two team wanted to achieve even more.Parkinson told BBC Sport Wales, We’re quite proud of that because we’re up against some pretty talented clubs across the football pyramid.

For everyone at the club, it is a tremendous accomplishment to be mentioned alongside Man City.

It’s about the future, as Man City will say when they see that statistic and how well they’ve played, the speaker said.

The focus now is on what lies ahead and how we can go again and do even more. We know that we’ve done well to be mentioned with those names and up there.

When Wrexham won the National League championship and broke multiple records in the previous season, their 15-year absence from the Football League came to an end.

Parkinson’s team is currently fourth in League Two, three points behind Gillingham, who are currently leading the division after losing their home debut against MK Dons. They have seven wins without a loss.

Since the beginning of the season, we’ve worked hard to look at areas we needed to improve, personnel and in terms of the structure of the side, continued Parkinson.

I have so far enjoyed the division, the new year, and am quite enthusiastic about what is ahead.

I think our squad is becoming stronger, and both off the field and on it, there is healthy competition.

On Saturday, Wrexham will visit Stockport County to reacquaint themselves with the team that narrowly beat them to the National League title in 2022.

We enjoyed playing them in the National League, and it’s great to see them again in professional football, said Parkinson.

We know what they’re all about; they’ve put a lot of money into building a very good football team like we are over the years.
