‘Shocking in my eyes,’ says wolf icon Following the events of last week, Steve Bull blasts the 25-year-old.

The Portuguese is no longer a Wolves player after Wolves sold him to Manchester City for £53 million.

Nunes officially completed the move on deadline day, with Tommy Doyle moving in the opposite direction in a seperate transaction.

Nunes, it seems, tried to force an exit from the club, with City having been unwilling to pay over the odds.

In the end, the clubs came to an agreement.

But Nunes has come in for a lot of criticism in the last week – and more has now come his way in the form of a club legend…

Steve Bull the latest to criticise Matheus Nunes for striking at Wolves

Nunes got what he wanted in the end.

But he will now not have too many friends at Wolves. At least in the form of supporters of the club.

Many just feel disappointed, and Bull has now given his take on the situation.

He said (Express & Star): “I was disappointed and frustrated at how Matheus Nunes acted in his final days at Wolves.

“There’s no loyalty in football any more – it’s shocking in my eyes.

“If you have a long contract you should try to serve as much of that as you can. I know a club like Manchester City can turn your head, but he shouldn’t have gone on strike.

“He should have got his head down and focused on his football, and let everyone else sort out the deal.

“But he’s gone now and I wish him well. With him going, Wolves have been able to add in some key positions.”

Nunes behaviour was embarrassing

Many Wolves fans are still annoyed with Nunes and how he engineered his exit at Molineux.

And it will likely stay that way for a while.

Nunes has suggested in a statement on social media that there is more to the story.

But for the moment, it is a terrible look for Nunes. It will probably remain a bad look regardless of if anything else comes out.

But hopefully now, Wolves can move on from the situation and the new signings purchased after he left can settle quickly.
