As West Brom and Southampton battled it out in the Championship, one supporter was spotted dozing off by home fans, who reeled off a string of chants at him
A sleepy West Brom fan got a rude awakening when he was serenaded by thousands of Southampton supporters.
The Championship meeting between the Saints and the Baggies was no bore draw but wasn’t exciting enough for one individual in the away end at St Mary’s. The supporter, who was sat next to the partition separating the home and away fans, was spotted, with members of the home faithful chanting: “How s*** must you be, he’s fallen asleep” and then: “He’s still asleep, he still asleep, he’s still asleep.”
To the amusement of both sets of supporters, the fan eventually stirred, with Saints followers cheering and then bellowing: “He’s woken up, he’s woken up, he’s woken up”.
