West Bromwich Albion are reportedly determined to keep hold of forward Tom Fellows as interest continues to mount.

After attending Albion’s academy, the 20-year-old made his senior debut in December 2021. Fellows spent last season on loan at Crawley Town and is slowly establishing himself in Carlos Corberan’s squad.

He has so far made six appearances for Albion this season, mainly from the bench. Having entered the final year of his contract, Albion are said to be keen to tie him down to a new contract, claims the Daily Mail.

The new owners, who are in the process of taking over Albion, are rumored to have expressed a desire for the child to remain.

The Saints would have kept a close eye on the midfielder during their 2-1 win over Corberan’s side on Saturday. Fellows stepped in for Matty Phillips with 10 minutes from time at the St Mary’s.

He remains determined to prove himself at senior level as he searches for more minutes. “I know when I come on I have to prove myself at this level, whether that’s five minutes, ten minutes or however long I get,” Fellows previously said.

“The better I do, the likelihood is the longer I’ll get. We’ve got a few injuries which have meant I’ve got the opportunity, but it’s down to me to take it.”
