The delight of the occasion, though, was best portrayed in a video of the bench players’ reactions, notably captain Heung-min Son.
They can be seen off their seats as Richarlison goes inside the box and cuts back for Dejan Kulusevski.
And just as his shot hit the back of the net, Son could be seen jumping on to the pitch and sprinting down to celebrate with the rest of the team.
