Postecoglou is happy with Alejo Veliz
Veliz has yet to play for the Spurs, and it could be some time before the 20-year-old really gets the chance to play for the starting lineup. Veliz’s recent stint with the Lilywhites as a replacement, however, has been clarified by an article from Football.London.
Veliz reportedly “impressed Postecoglou and his coaches” over the week’s worth of training sessions, and it was observed that his “finishing in particular [has been] lethal,” which led to his being added to the substitutes’ list for the North London derby.
The report refers to the group of rising talents Postecoglou now has at his disposal as the “golden generation.” It has been speculated that the Australians’ “nurturing” strategy would enable these players to prosper in the future.
