Prior to January, a La Liga team makes Tottenham star their “top option,” with Postecoglou eager to sell.

With Ange Postecoglou eager to sell, Real Betis are expected to increase their interest in a Tottenham player before the January transfer window.

Tottenham had a successful summer transfer window, adding nine new first-team players to their roster.

Postecoglou also made an effort to get rid of some of the club’s deadwood as they profited from players like Harry Winks and Davinson Sanchez.

Prior to the January window, clearing the decks will also be a priority because Postecoglou’s future plans obviously do not include multiple high-earners.

Hugo Lloris, who the team attempted to trade in the summer, is one among those players.Although the French goalie was rumored to be moving to France, Italy, Turkey, and Saudi Arabia, none of these transfers ultimately happened.

Lloris has subsequently lost his position as club captain, and Postecoglou has yet to use him since Guglielmo Vicario has taken over as the team’s starting goalkeeper.

Prior to the January transfer window, Real Betis reportedly made Lloris a “top option” in order to bolster their goalkeeping staff.

Real Betis will be free to negotiate with the Frenchman since his contract expires in 2024, giving them the opportunity to find a cost-effective agreement.

Real Betis has been linked with a bid for David De Gea in addition to pursuing Lloris. The former Man United player is still unsigned and considering his options.

Although Spain has expressed interest in the 32-year-old, recent reports indicate that he is thinking about retiring.

According to current rumors, the 32-year-old may decide to retire if he doesn’t have a chance to start as a starter for a significant club.

Lloris, who is 36 and seeking guarantees about his playing time at his next club, appears to be thinking along similar lines as De Gea at the moment.

James Maddison, who Tottenham may have acquired, might be the summer’s top acquisition

.

In fact, Lloris turned down a transfer to Lazio this summer because he wasn’t certain to be their starting goalie there.

Real Betis appear to be in dire need of a new goalkeeper as they are presently dealing with an injury issue. This season, Claudio Bravo has yet to make an appearance, while Rui Silva, the back-up, is now injured.

Lloris would be expected to start for Real Betis even if he is no longer at the top of his game. The Spanish team is presently tenth in La Liga after giving up 10 goals in their opening five games.
