Manor Solomon, a newbie to Tottenham Hotspur, has made an immediate impact at N17.
Spurs signed the Israel international on a free transfer earlier this summer, with a contract that runs until 2028.
Solomon has shone in both of Tottenham’s preseason friendlies, against West Ham and Lion City Sailors.
Furthermore, the 24-year-old has wowed his new Tottenham Hotspur teammates in training.
Solomon had previously been on the books with Shakhtar Donetsk, but was granted free release this summer.
Due to the country’s war, a FIFA regulation permitted non-Ukrainian players to stop their contracts.
Solomon had six months left on his contract with Shakhtar, which was set to end in December of this year.
However, the extending of the FIFA ruling for another year pushes the contract past its expiration date.
Tottenham will host Solomon’s former team in a charity match at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday.
This will be the first opportunity for Tottenham’s new signings to play at their new club’s cutting-edge stadium.
And Solomon revealed to the official Tottenham website that he can’t wait to go back on the N17 pitch.
“I’m really excited,” he stated during the Spurs Diary Room Q&A, which was posted on the club’s website.
“I went to the stadium a few days after I joined, and it was fantastic to see it; it’s so beautiful.” I’m not going to be able to play there.”
Solomon has stated that he does not believe in ghosts, and “Solo” appears to be his new moniker at Tottenham.
In our opinion
Even though he has only been at Spurs for a few weeks, Solomon has immediately become a fan favorite.
He’s really taken to Tottenham, and the supporters love him. It also helps that he is extremely talented and hardworking.
It’ll be great to see him finally take to the Spurs field, and hopefully he can maintain his strong pre-season form before the season begins.
