Harry Kane will be’relaxed’ if his rumored move from Tottenham Hotspur to Bayern Munich falls through this summer, according to Paul Gilmour.
Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy met with senior Bayern Munich executives on Monday to explore the transfer of the London club’s star striker.
As of yet, no agreement has been reached, with Sky Sports saying that the German giants are ‘£20 million’ short of obtaining Harry Kane’s abilities.
The 30-year-old has less than a year remaining on his contract, so if he doesn’t quit this summer, he’ll be able to hire anybody he wants in a year.
According to Levy, this opens the door for Kane to join another Premier League club in 2024, which is why he is likely eager to speak with Bayern officials.
Either way, this is still Levy and anything can happen, including Kane staying, and if that scenario becomes reality, then the England skipper won’t throw up a fuss, as Gilmour reported on Sky Sports.
“If a deal is agreed, then we understand that Harry Kane would be keen to formally speak with Bayern Munich,” said Gilmour.
“If a deal isn’t agreed, then we are also told that he is quite relaxed. He will simply get on with his football with Tottenham, knowing he is in a strong position in the next year or so.”
Kane in Bayern colours next season
If this alleged trade goes through, a certain Alan Shearer will be overjoyed, with Ian Wright recently giggling at the prospect.
But, although the all-time Premier League goals record may wait, Kane’s arrival at Bayern Munich next season guarantees he will finally end his trophy drought.
It also enhances Bayern’s prospects of winning the European Cup, which they haven’t done in previous years.
