As our chairman, Daniel Levy, our men’s and women’s head coaches, Ange Postecoglou and Robert Vilahamn, and our men’s and women’s first team captains, Heung-Min Son and Bethany England, ascended the stage at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Tuesday night, our Fan Forum proved to be a tremendous hit with supporters.
Hosted by broadcaster, novelist, and Spurs supporter Nihal Arthanayake, the panel answered questions for 90 engrossing minutes in two parts: the first portion was guided by Nihal with questions from the audience supporting it, and the second part was an open Q&
Daniel was asked how he felt watching the euphoric scenes at games so far this season and the football being played under Ange when he was kept just yards from the pitch in the Stadium’s East Stand and just three days after our amazing late, late show against Sheffield United. We now have our Tottenham back, so it’s easy, he grinned. “I just feel that all we want to see is football like we used to see it. We want the players to give it their all, to play aggressively, and to establish a bond with the supporters that permeates the entire team. We are reunited once more.
Daniel was questioned about how simple of a choice it was to appoint Ange. It was simple due to
Ange was questioned regarding his initial thoughts on Daniel. “He spoke about the style, young players, and relationship with the supporters he desired for this football team, and that spoke to me. It had to fit well and give me confidence that I could carry out the duties assigned to me.

Sonny talked about his duties as captain, his relationship with the team’s supporters, the team’s culture, Sunday’s derby preparations, and how he handled a challenging 2022–23 season. “It was difficult for a variety of reasons, but it strengthened me. I’m a seasoned player now. The previous season was perhaps the hardest I’ve ever had, but I also learned the most and more than I did when I was 18. I was surprised by that. It has given me new strength. Yes, it was difficult, but it is a part of my life and has strengthened me as a person and a playerIn the open forum, Proud Lilywhites asked Beth about being named captain, her amazing influence since joining us in the second part of last season, and how the players and management feel about the team’s ongoing support of the LGBTQ+ community. “For me, as a very proud homosexual man, I believe that being at a club where you feel welcomed and included is vital. I am well aware that the club and Proud Lilywhites work well together to ensure that everyone is on the same page and that everyone feels welcome and safe at our football club. Any type of discrimination is not acceptable. I genuinely feel included in and a part of this family.
