Davinson Sanchez has left the club after six years of service to join Turkish giants Galatasaray.
It’s not an unexpected move considering the 27-year-old has been out of favor at Tottenham for some time, with his performances falling short
After failing to offload unwanted stars like as Eric Dier on transfer deadline day, Daniel Levy has succeeded to offload two this week, with Tanguy Ndombele also joining Sanchez in Turkey – Yves Bissouma responded to the midfielder’s departure.
Nonetheless, Sanchez stated on Instagram following his departure, “I will always have a place in my heart for you, @Spursofficial.”
Pedro Porro commented in the comments section, “My crack,” with a sad face emoji, while Dier added “El Patron,” which means “The Boss.”
Sanchez’s message to Spurs fans
“Six years at this place I called home,” Sanchez wrote. “Thank you very much for everything. Spursofficial, you will always have a special place in my heart.”
This was a long-awaited exit that should have occurred many years ago, even for Sanchez’s benefit.
As he found out last season when he was booed by his own fans, things were never going to turn around for him.
Mauricio Pochettino bought Sanchez from Ajax, and he arrived with a lot of promise, but he struggled with the defensive aspect of the game and how quickly the game runs in England.
