The Reason for the Five-Star Receiver Jamie Ffrench Attended The Tennessee Spring Practice

Five-star Tennessee quarterback commitment George MacIntyre plans to be back in Knoxville soon with a five-star Vols target

Tennessee quarterback commitment from a five-star classThis weekend, George MacIntyre of Brentwood (Tenn.) Academy will make his way back to Knoxville for a two-day visit with the Vols, which will enable him to witness their inaugural spring practice.

One of Tennessee’s main targets as a wide receiver, an outstanding player, is expected to join him.

MacIntyre said to GoVols247 that he will be spending Sunday and Monday in Tennessee. Five-star Class of 2025 wide receiver Jamie Ffrench, a former Alabama commitment from Mandarin High School in Jacksonville, Florida, will also be present, he said on his X account on Thursday afternoon.

This week, MacIntyre is back in Knoxville, as she posted. “@jaimeffrenchjr, a special visitor, will also be there.

This spring, the 6-foot-1, 185-pound Frenchman plans to make his first trip to Tennessee. He revealed to Tom Loy of 247Sports last month that the Vols had him scheduled to play on April 8.

Ffrench recently returned from a trip to LSU. Following the tour, he informed Steve Wiltfong of 247Sports that he had “scheduled an official visit (to LSU) for the first weekend of May.”

Two projections for Ffrench on the 247Sports Crystal Ball have been given to Ohio State. Since last week, both predictions have been made; Tom Loy of 247Sports made the most recent one on Wednesday.

According to the industry-generated 247Sports Composite, Ffrench is classified as a five-star recruit. He is ranked as the No. 16 overall prospect, the No. 3 wide receiver in the 2025 class, and the No. 3 Florida junior.

He is a four-star prospect who is rated No. 30 overall and No. 4 wide receiver in the 2025 class by 247Sports.

Following the announcement of his decommitment from Alabama on January 14, following the retirement of former Crimson Tide coach Nick Saban, Ffrench has emerged as one of Tennessee’s top wide receiver targets.

Additionally, MacIntyre has devoted a lot of effort to Ffrench’s recruitment for the Vols. Ffrench, five-star offensive tackle David Sanders Jr., four-star offensive tackle Juan Gaston, and two of his Tennessee Select 7-on-7 teammates, wide receiver Radarius Jackson of Memphis, Tenn., and four-star athlete Cameron Sparks of Chattanooga, Tenn., were among the players MacIntyre specifically mentioned as players he had been prioritizing in late February.

At the time, MacIntyre stated, “Aside from the in-state youngsters, I would say I’m more focused on the offensive part of the ball.

Director of scouting Andrew Ivins’ official assessment of Ffrench for 247Sports is that the highly sought-after receiver is “a good route-runner with great body control and strong hands.

Measuring approximately 6-foot-1 and 175 pounds in the summer before his 11th-grade year, Ffrench can occasionally play much bigger than his stature suggests when he battles for position and wins the prize, according to Ivins.

His ability to separate beneath is facilitated by his attention to detail, and his deft footwork keeps opponents off-balance as he assaults the lower areas of the pitch.

Although he may not be a genuine burner, he has demonstrated his ability to win a significant number of foot races and has testing results that are respectable for his age.

does a good job of picking his way through traffic and is the kind of ball carrier who recognizes the importance of just gaining the yards that are given to him.

He still has to keep improving and soaking up all the instruction, but he has the tools to become a go-to target at the Power Five level.

Probably bring some variety to the wide receiver room of his choosing, since depending on how his body develops, he might become an inside or outside receiver.

With some polish, he might be playing in college right away, much like his older brother Maurice Ffrench, who at Pittsburgh set a few single-season records before heading to the NFL.
