Breaking News: The Steelers sign former Browns safety…….

Signing Former Browns Safety, the Steelers

Pittsburgh — The Pittsburgh Steelers, who are experiencing significant attrition in their defensive backfield, have decided to add a safety to their practice squad.

A former UCLA defensive back who went undrafted, Nate Meadors, has joined the Steelers practice squad this week in anticipation of their Week 17 matchup with the Seattle Seahawks, the organisation said.

Meadors has played for the New York Giants, Jacksonville Jaguars, Philadelphia Eagles, Tennessee Titans, Cleveland Browns, and Jacksonville Jaguars since the Vikings added him as an undrafted free agent in the 2019 NFL Draft. Meadors, who was also an XFL player for the St. Louis Battlehawks, was signed by the Browns, the final team in the NFL.

Throughout his NFL career, the 5’11, 194-pound safety has registered two tackles and appeared in three games. Meadors only has 48 career snaps—37 of which were on special teams—and hasn’t participated in an NFL game since 2020.

Damontae Kazee, who received a three-game suspension from the NFL for an illegal hit against the Colts in Week 15, is already out of the Steelers lineup. Due to their individual ailments, Trenton Thompson and Minkah Fitzpatrick are doubtful for this week’s road trip to Seattle, and Keanu Neal is sidelined.

By using Warren’s versatility as a blocker, receiver, and runner, the move may enable Harris to run more effectively.
