Elliott is added to the Steelers practice squad.
On October 31, Elliott signed up for the practice squad; however, he was later cut. He attended training camp with the team as well.
After the 2020 NFL Draft, Elliott signed a rookie free agent contract with the Detroit Lions as an undrafted free agent out of Notre Dame.
He signed to the 53-man roster after starting his rookie campaign on the Lions practice squad and being added to the active roster for two games. He started one and participated in eight games overall.
Elliott joined the New England Patriots for the 2022 training camp after signing a contract. Although he participated in the preseason, he was cut before the regular season began. Elliott played a stint with the Raiders in Las Vegas as well.
Elliott made 173 tackles, 96 of which came from single stops, six interceptions, and one forced fumble, during his 51 games with the Fighting Irish.
