Anthony Elanga sends three-word message to Jeremy Sarmiento after West Brom done deal
Nottingham Forest winger Anthony Elanga has sent a three-word message to Jeremy Sarmiento after he completed a loan move to West Brom.
As per the official Albion website (25 July), the Ecuador international has joined the Baggies on a season-long loan from Brighton.
And among the people sending Sarmiento warm wishes following his move was Elanga, who has only just joined Nottingham Forest from Manchester United.
Posting on Instagram about his temporary move to The Hawthorns, Sarmiento wrote: “New beginnings. Let’s get to work!
Commenting on the post, former Manchester United man Elanga wrote: “Go show them.”
Both Elanga and Sarmiento have completed big steps in their careers this week, with the former making a break away from Premier League giants Manchester United to go and forge a career for himself elsewhere.
Given the large squad that Steve Cooper has assembled at Nottingham Forest, Elanga may find it difficult to get regular minutes, but his experience with the Red Devils will definitely work in his favour in that regard.
As for Sarmiento, he should have no such problems in landing a regular spot under manager Carlos Corberan at West Brom next season.
The 21-year-old is a really exciting player, and will definitely help take Corberan’s side to another level in the final third.
It’s a move that works out well for all parties involved, with Sarmiento getting the chance for regular minutes on the pitch in a competitive league, with Brighton able to track his progress and West Brom able to compete better for a play-off spot.
