When might Joe Burrow be able to resume throwing?
QB for the Cincinnati Bengals, Joe Burrow, covered a lot of ground during his end-of-season press conference earlier this week.
Even more noteworthy than his remarks regarding the team’s decision to maintain Tee Higgins in free agency are his remarks regarding his current state of recuperation.
Burrow disclosed that, depending on how things work out, he might be throwing by the spring OTAs. He appeared to be taking the podium without the splint that was visible during surgery last month.
He also briefly discussed how his training regimen has evolved.
“Lifting legs, doing a lot of core, doing the upper body where we can,” Burrow said. “Not being able to grab or do anything like that is difficult. However, we’re making adjustments to it to keep me in good physical condition, and it will only get better as my wrist heals.
This was undoubtedly something from the franchise quarterback, even though it took a while for the precise severity of the injury to even become public. According to this timeframe, he might already be fully recovered by the time training camp rolls around.
That would be significant given that Burrow made hints in the same interview that some of the under-center installations they had intended to do sort of fell by the wayside when he sustained his calf injury.
It remains to be seen, but it appears that Burrow may soon make a significant advancement in the process.
