Opportunity as been laid before West brom as Bournemouth late move emerges

Bournemouth attacker Jamal Lowe has been made surplus to requirements at the Vitality Stadium, with West Brom looking at a late move, according to The Star.

The newspaper shared on its website on 31 August that the Baggies are joined by fellow Championship outfits Norwich, Stoke and Sheffield Wednesday, as well as Scottish Premiership side Hibernian, in the race for his signature.

This report comes shortly after Sky Sports [31 August, 13:46] shared that a loan deal has been discussed, although the Premier League side would prefer to let him go permanently, with Norwich the current frontrunner.

Exciting option

Lowe has demonstrated that he is worth every cent at the Championship level, despite the fact that he may not have been able to make it in the Premier League for Bournemouth. Although he had a lackluster second half of the previous season when on loan at QPR, scoring just three goals in 20 games, his record speaks for itself.

Lowe was a crucial component of Bournemouth’s offense during the 2021/22 season as they won promotion, scoring seven goals and dishing out two assists. The forward scored 14 goals with Swansea City the season prior.

He can play across the front three, as a striker or on either wing, adding some much-needed versatility to the Baggies’ front line, where he could contribute in all three positions if injuries or fixture congestion limit their alternatives.

His dynamism and speed might provide something fresh to the front three, with new acquisitions Jeremy Sarmiento and Josh Maja, as well as Brandon Thomas-Asante and, whenever Daryl Dike returns from injury, Daryl Dike – all of whom Lowe could link up well with.

This is a late show to watch.
