Natalie Sawyer is a big fan of the emotional West Brom news from Wednesday.

Natalie Sawyer praised West Brom for their “beautiful” Jeff Astle-themed kit launch video.

The Baggies revealed their latest strip on Wednesday (12 July) through Twitter, and the video paid respect to the Baggies great.

It depicts Astle’s grandson following in his grandfather’s footsteps while a cartoon picture of Astle is brought to life and joyfully watches on.

The Jeff Astle Foundation was then introduced as the club’s official charity partner for the 2023–24 season at the conclusion of the clip.

TalkSPORT host Sawyer commented on the video by writing: “When dust gets in both of your eyes!!!! This is amazing play by the Baggies.

Natalie Sawyer isn’t the only one moved by the Baggies video, with Gary Lineker and Henry Winter also praising the kit reveal.

Jeff Astle spent ten years with the Baggies and is an absolute legend at The Hawthorns, having won both the League Cup and the FA Cup with the club, while also ranking fourth on West Brom’s all-time goalscoring list.

This is an area where West Brom frequently gets it right, despite the club’s hierarchy appearing to make a lot of mistakes right now as the club’s debts grow out of control and key players may need to be sold as a result.

It is a lovely ode to a club hero, and the video has rightfully gained popularity and praise from all sides; Sawyer is the most recent to praise a truly exceptional piece of work.

Paul Robinson explains what could be a “worry” for Carlos Corberan this season in other West Brom news.
