Born on April 18, 1999, in Highland Springs, Virginia, Becton attended Highland Springs High School, where he was regarded as a three-star prospect and ranked as the No. 43 offensive tackle and No. 405 overall recruit in the 247Sports Composite.¹

Becton played college football at the University of Louisville, where he was a three-year starter and played in all 35 games for the program. He decided to forego his senior season and declare for the 2020 NFL Draft.²

The New York Jets selected Becton with the 11th overall pick in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft. He signed a four-year rookie contract worth $18,446,048, which included a signing bonus of $10,975,308. Becton played for the Jets from 2020 to 2023, starting 45 games out of 46 played.

However, Becton’s time with the Jets was marked by injuries. He suffered a knee injury in 2021 that required surgery and kept him out for 4-6 weeks. In 2022, he suffered an avulsion fracture of his right kneecap, which caused him to miss the entire season.

In 2024, Becton signed a one-year contract with the Philadelphia Eagles worth $2,750,000. He transitioned to playing guard and started 15 games, helping the Eagles win Super Bowl LIX.

Throughout his career, Becton has earned approximately $21,196,048. Despite his injury history, Becton has shown promise and potential, earning him the nickname “Big Ticket”.
