The international break has come just at the right time for Coventry City after three of Saturday’s starters were forced to leave the field after picking up injuries against Watford.

Jay Dasilva had to withdraw early in the second half after a heavy tackle, while Kasey Palmer later went off with a sore knee and Milan van Ewijk with a tight hamstring.Nigel Pearson makes Jay Dasilva contract admission with his Bristol City deal close to expiring - Bristol Live

Dasilva was later seen wearing a protective boot on his left foot/ankle, while Palmer’s call-up to play for Jamaica for the first time in two years appears to be jeopardized – at least if Mark Robins has his way; the manager clearly wants the playmaker to stay close to home for treatment to ensure he’s fit for the Hull game.

If Kasey is injured, the City manager insists he will not be moved, but we’ll see. We need to evaluate him.

When asked about Dasilva, Robins answered, “I don’t know yet.” I’ve had the physios look at them. Milan appears to be the most attractive of the three.

In terms of the international break, Robins acknowledged that it allows players to rest and heal while also getting some work done on the Ryton training pitch.

It will be an opportunity to work on a few things, but I will definitely give them a few days off because of what comes next, which is very intense, he said. They will then be  back in working towards the Hull game on the Friday night.
