Kenilworth Road and the transfer window

Rob Edwards, manager of Luton Town, has stated that he will let one of his back-up goalkeepers, James Shea or Matt Macey, to leave the club during the transfer window in order to gain regular first-team play.

Following promotion to the Premier League and his refusal to re-sign Nottingham Forest loanee Ethan Horvath, the Town manager had a protracted hunt to bring in the two goalkeepers he desired to compete for the first team shirt at Kenilworth Road.

He finally completed that quest last week, Tim Krul joining from Norwich City to challenge Belgian Thomas Kaminski, who was signed from Blackburn Rovers earlier this month and went on to start the opening day 4-1 defeat against Brighton & Hove Albion.
