He doesn’t want to: UFC Interim Heavyweight Champion Tom Aspinall Doesn’t Hold Jon Jones Accountable for…

Tom Aspinall, the interim heavyweight champion of the UFC, doesn’t hold Jon Jones accountable for not engaging in a faceoff.

Jones and Aspinall happened to cross paths during the Arnold Sports Festival. The two were conversing there because Aspinall intended to arrange a fight between the two in the future, but “Bones” wasn’t too interested in it and didn’t engage in a faceoff for it.

Aspinall claims that Jones made a wise decision by opting not to participate in the faceoff since it frees him from having to fight him.

On The MMA Hour, Tom Aspinall declared, “I wanted to face off.” “You know what, Jon’s smart?” Jon has never stated that he will fight me anywhere;

it is not available. He won’t make the statement in public. He refuses to say it. There isn’t a single video, comment, or other reference available online with Jon Jones declaring, “One day, I’m going to fight Tom Aspinall, and I’m going to freaking beat the hell out of him.

That’s what I intend to accomplish. That isn’t real. He doesn’t want any proof of him agreeing to a fight with me anywhere because he doesn’t want to look back on it.

He believes that engaging in a faceoff could lead to a brawl, so he wants to avoid it. “Jon, are we going to do this?” I ask him. He says nothing like “absolutely.” We’ll get it done after I move Stipe aside. Rather, he will remark, “Oh, maybe one day.” For that reason, he objects to the statement, “We’re going to fight one day.” It is really intelligent.

Naturally, Jon Jones has been attempting to defeat Stipe Miocic in order to win his first heavyweight title defense. As a result, Aspinall might have to defend his interim title before facing Curtis Blaydes again.

According to Tom Aspinall, Jon Jones’s fight does not “define” him.

The Brit doesn’t care if the bout doesn’t materialize because Jon Jones isn’t showing much interest in Tom Aspinall.

Aspinall claims that even if he wants to fight Jones, it won’t harm his reputation or career if they don’t.

To be honest, Aspinall stated, “I don’t think about Jon Jones all day.” Contrary to popular belief, I’m not in need of it desperately.

My career is not defined by that fight. Although that would be lovely and wonderful, I have other ways to establish my worth. I will be involved in this sport for the next five years, at the very least. In any case,. At least.

Thus, that would be fantastic. It would be great if I won the fight. I’m not, however, thinking, “Oh, look at what Jon did again!” It is not going to occur! God, oh God!

It is Jon’s responsibility. Jon is free to pursue his interests. It’s fantastic if we fight. It’s also terrific if we don’t. Respect to one of the greatest athletes of all time, Jon Jones.
