- Pogba, who tested positive for dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA) in the first game of the 2023/24 season, is free to rejoin Juventus in March of next year.
“Finally, the nightmare is over,” Pogba said in a statement. “Following the decision by the Court of Arbitration for Sport, I can look forward to the day when I can follow my dreams again.
“Last March, Italy’s National Anti-Doping Tribunal (TNA) accepted the Anti-Doping Prosecutor’s Office’s request to impose a four-year penalty, which is the standard length of a punishment under the World Anti-Doping Code. Pogba would not have returned to football until March 2027.
Pogba added: “I have always claimed that I never knowingly violated World Anti-Doping Agency laws when I took a nutritional supplement prescribed to me by a doctor, which has no effect on or enhances male athletes’ performance.
“This has been a deeply sad time in my life because everything I have worked so hard for has been placed on hold. Thank you again for your love and support. “I can’t wait to get back on the pitch.”
