Breaking News: Patrick Mahomes Arrested for Attacking two Players In,…………

Report: Before the Chiefs’ NFL Super Bowl 58 game, Patrick Mahomes’ father was arrested for DWI.

According to Jesse Newell of the Kansas City Star, Patrick Mahomes Sr., the father of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, was reportedly detained on suspicion of driving while drunk on Saturday. This would be Mahomes Sr.’s third incident of this kind.

In 2018, he was accused of a second DWI, entered a guilty plea, and was sentenced to 40 days in a county jail.

In addition, he was detained and charged with public intoxication before a 2016 game between TCU and Texas Tech, his son’s alma mater. He also faced DUI charges in 1994 following a single-car collision.

A week before Mahomes and the Chiefs take on the San Francisco 49ers in Las Vegas for Super Bowl LVIII, this arrest has occurred. Mahomes Sr. said he intended to attend to CNN’s Ben Morse on Thursday.

In just his eighth season, Mahomes has the opportunity to win his third ring.

“To compete at the highest level is something that is rare and very special,” Mahomes, the elder added. “For him to have the amount of success that he’s had this early on in his career is just surreal.”

“It’s a little crazy,” he went on. “He really is unlike anything I have ever seen. I’ve known a lot of amazing sportsmen, like Alex Rodriguez, Rickey Henderson, and all of these guys, but to reach the pinnacle of your sport so rapidly and carry it out year after year adds even more significance to it.”

Although Mahomes Sr. wasn’t ready to place his son in the GOAT debate just yet, it would put Mahomes on pace to at least approach Tom Brady’s record-setting seven rings.

It’s still up to be decided, he stated last week. “He has yet to fully develop. I was a huge Joe Montana fan growing up, and I have a ton of respect for Tom Brady. Although [Patrick] is headed in the right direction, those guys are still superior at the moment.
