The Packers CEO all but confirms Aaron Rodgers departure

Mark Murphy, the President and CEO of the Packers, opened up about what he thinks of the Aaron Rodgers situation. And in doing that, he all but confirmed that the four-time MVP won’t come back to don the green and gold again.

“It Only Gets Worse From Here”: Aaron Rodgers’ “Largest Psychedelic Gathering in History” News Drops Jaws of NFL Fans

In 2011, Rodgers led the Packers to a Super Bowl victory and has been instrumental in the franchise’s dominance over the NFC North for the past decade. However, it appears that both parties are now prepared to part ways.

Aaron Rodgers and the Packers appear poised to part ways, with Rodgers eyeing a potential move to the New York Jets while the Packers have faith in Jordan Love as their starting quarterback. If this scenario plays out, trading Rodgers could net the Packers valuable draft assets for the future.

The Packers struggled throughout the 2022 season. And many have pointed out the lack of good offensive options as the reason for that. So, the franchise can use the trade to start a rebuild. And that is exactly what they may do.

The Jets will have to compensate the Packers to get their QB. And it will also free up significant cap space for them to rebuild. The question is, what will the Packers demand from the Jets to cushion the loss of a future Hall of fame QB?
