State of Ohio Ohio State quarterback commit In the class of 2024, Air Noland emerged as their third five-star recruit.

According to Rivals, Ohio State Buckeyes quarterback commit Air Noland was upgraded to a five-star prospect following his nearly record-breaking junior season and his performance at the Elite 11 Finals.

Noland is rated as a five-star recruit by Rivals, the first of the four major recruiting services (Rivas, 247Sports, On3, and ESPN). Noland is still making progress up Rivals’ player ranking board, shooting up to No. 20 (the third-best quarterback in the class of 2024) from his starting position of 232nd.

In the Buckeyes’ No. 2 2024 recruiting class, Noland outjumped four-star offensive lineman Ian Moore, wide receiver Mylan Graham, cornerback Bryce West, and running back Jordan Peoples, according to Rivals. Along with defensive lineman Justin Scott and wide receiver Jeremiah Smith, who are all rated inside Rivals’ top-10 rankings, he is one of three five-star prospects Ohio State has in the 2024 cycle.

73 percent of Noland’s 323 pass attempts in 2022 were completed, making him as accurate as any gunslinger in the 2024 cycle. With two touchdowns short of breaking the Georgia high school state record, his 4,095 yards were the third-most in the Peach State during the previous campaign.

With a 15-0 record, the Fairburn, Georgia, native guided Langston Hughes High School to the 6A state championship.

Noland firmly denied any transfer speculations by declaring his allegiance to the Buckeyes on April 8 and hasn’t wavered since.

Noland informed RJ Young on the “Number One College Football Show” on July 14 that “that’s a no-go.” “Coaches Dennis, Hartline, and Ryan Day—me and my guys—know that I’m locked in. They are aware that every commit we currently have is locked in, thus being a Buckeye is a lifelong commitment. If you’re a true Buckeye, you don’t decommit and flip.”
