Ahead of the playoffs, Haasan Reddick speaks up against the Eagles’ ongoing defensive shortcomings.
The Philadelphia Eagles are in a risky situation heading into the playoffs because their recent defensive adjustments haven’t produced the expected outcomes.
The Eagles have gone 1-2 since Matt Patricia took over as defensive play-caller from Sean Desai prior to Week 15, suffering two devastating losses in the closing seconds of the fourth quarter.
Reddick said of the Eagles’ defensive adjustments, “It’s challenging.”
The recently healthy linebacker Hayon Reddick admitted to the difficulties of adjusting to coaching changes in the middle of the season, saying bluntly, “It’s a hard thing to accomplish.” At the end of the day, it’s our work, therefore there shouldn’t be any complaints. Despite the challenges, Reddick stressed that it is the players’ duty to give it their all.

In the time we have left, we’re trying our hardest to adjust to that and get everyone on the same page going ahead. We can then excel in the postseason.”
Eagles must act swiftly to improve the situation.
With a career-high 13.5 sacks in 2023, Reddick will continue to be a vital member of the Eagles defence.
The Eagles gave up more than thirty points in three straight games during a 1-2 stretch, which led to the decision to change defensive play-calling.
Although Matt Patricia’s impact seemed promising at first, later games exposed defensive flaws.
