Head of player development Matthew Egan at training.

Geelong Cats can confirm Matthew Egan will depart the Club for a new position at the Western Bulldogs.

Egan, who played for Geelong before joining the Club in October 2021, took on the role of Head of Development, concentrating on collaborating closely with the Cats’ core group of youthful players.

Football General Manager Andrew Mackie stated, “It is been great to have Matt back at the Cats for the past two seasons managing our development programme.”

We appreciate Matt’s commitment, his tireless efforts, and the positive impact he had on our programme. We also wish him and his family the very best.
