NFL Rumors: Lions’ Aaron Glenn Buzz Spurs Titans to target Bengals OC Brian Callahan as HC
According to reports, the Tennessee Titans have reached out to Brian Callahan, the offensive coordinator for the Cincinnati Bengals, to set up a follow-up interview for their head coaching position.

The Titans have scheduled Callahan for a face-to-face interview when they are permitted to, starting next week, according to ESPN’s Dan Graziano.

Aaron Glenn, the defensive coordinator for the Detroit Lions, was previously mentioned by Graziano as a “strong prospect” to succeed Mike Vrabel.

Under head coach Zac Taylor, Callahan has served as the offensive coordinator for the Bengals since 2019. Although Taylor is the one who calls plays, Callahan has played a crucial role in the Bengals offense, which is routinely ranked among the best in the league.

Despite Joe Burrow missing the final seven games of the 2023 season due to a ruptured ligament in his right wrist, Cincinnati surprised everyone by doing well in the second half of the season. In certain aspects, Burrow’s replacement, backup quarterback Jake Browning, fared better than the Bengals starting quarterback.

Vrabel was let go by the Titans earlier this month following a six-year contract. Although Vrabel had a 54-45 record and two division titles while in Tennessee, the Titans are about to start a rebuilding process following back-to-back losing campaigns.

Given that the Bengals had to rebuild from the ground up, Callahan’s presence could tempt Tennessee to give him a chance. Under Taylor, the Bengals had a 6-25-1 record in Callahan’s first two seasons before going on a three-year winning streak that included a berth in Super Bowl LVI.

With the selection of Will Levis in the second round of the 2023 NFL Draft as its long-term quarterback and the selection of Tyjae Spears as a promising running back, Tennessee feels optimistic. Running back Derrick Henry and veteran quarterback Ryan Tannehill are anticipated to depart the Titans in the offseason.
