Bologna move: The reason he need’s to leave, Kristiansen discusses the Player’ decision

Victor Kristiansen claims that Enzo Maresca planned to utilize him as a center-back at Leicester City, which is why he joined Bologna. He is optimistic in his ability to advance under Thiago Motta.

The 20-year-old, who is now on loan with the option to purchase from Leicester City, joined the Stadio Dall’Ara and has already made his Serie A debut with the Rossoblu.

The Danish international explained his decision to join the Rossoblu during his unveiling press conference on Thursday in Bologna. The new manager at Leicester wanted to convert him into a center-back and use three defenders, he admitted.

He wanted me to play on the left, so I told my agent I needed to go somewhere where I could be myself and grow as a full-back, which is why I joined Leicester. Bologna arrived and gave me a fantastic project in which I could develop and play as a full-back. That was why I came to Bologna. The first game was a good learning experience for me; the stadium was nice, and we won, which was the most important thing. I had a good game, and it was a good first experience for me.

I believe that playing for the national team is the most valuable experience for any player. I made my debut this summer, he explained.

It was crucial to join a club where I could play full-back and be the Victor that everyone knows because, of course, if I had to play center back, I don’t think I would be perceived as a center back in the national team.

During talks between the two clubs, Kristiansen had spoken to Thiago Motta and a few of his staff members.

He acknowledged, “There were a few talks with Bologna during negotiations.

I had a positive experience with the club’s staff. The mister is a skilled coach, of course. He enjoys the way I play, and I believe he can help me grow into a top-notch full-back.

Despite Maresca’s suggestions for strategy, Kristiansen continued to speak with him about a possible transfer to the Stadio Dall’Ara.

“Maresca and I spoke about Bologna. Here, he played. I played with some players from Italy, particularly Skov Olsen, who provided me advice on where to go and how to live in the city. Understanding that was a good thing.

On September 2 against Cagliari, the Danish full-back played the whole 90 minutes and helped Bologna defeat Cagliari 2-1.

Before moving to the Stadio Dall’Ara, he had appeared in 14 matches for Leicester City.
