As the Baggies look for financing, West Brom managing director Mark Miles claims there is “good interest”

As the team seeks financing, West Brom managing director Mark Miles anticipates “good interest” from a number of parties.

Miles stated that such interest is understandable considering the Baggies’ status as a “big football club” that has spent several years in the Premier League.

Guochuan Lai, chairman and principal shareholder, is now looking for either a partial investment or a full sale of the Albion.

ously, any discussion would take place at Group level, and it’s difficult as a director of the club, but we’re a big football club, a club that’s been in the Premier League for a number of years,” Miles remarked, as quoted by the Express & Star.

“I’d be surprised if there wasn’t a lot of interest in the club from a variety of parties.”

“No, we just continue to operate,” Miles said when asked about a timetable for any investment. I work on the assumption that there is no investment and maintain an even keel as we progress. There are no timing constraints on that side. Lai is open to the concept; it may be next week, next month, or three months.”
