Michael Jordan is a legend whose athletic resume is on par with the mystique that surrounds him.

He was the player who transformed basketball, becoming one of the sport’s greatest legends, and lives on in the collective imagination of everyone who watches any competition.

He doesn’t have an equal and never will. For a variety of reasons, this has allowed him to build a large wealth.

MJ’ was a supernova that had never been seen before in the world of sports.

He revolutionized the sports industry, starting with a Nike company that wasn’t even a shadow of the powerhouse it is today.

He added his investments, achievements and an aura that is unmatched even today.

The Forbes List

Forbes, the century-old magazine specializing in business and finance, gives Jordan a top spot.

He is the only athlete in the Forbes 400, the list that brings together the largest fortunes in the United States.

The legendary ’23’ occupies the 385th position, with a fortune established at about $3.5 billion and increasing year after year. For example, he gets $330 million from Nike alone.

 

It isn’t usual for an athlete to be at such heights. Within the 400 fortunes there are other personalities related to sports, but none of them is a sports professional.

Stan Kroenke, who ranks 45th with 16.9 billion dollars at the helm of several teams such as the Los Angeles Rams, Denver Nuggets, Colorado Avalanche or Arsenal, stands out. They are businessmen, Jordan is the only sportsman.

Although it doesn’t mean that everything was given to him by his professional career. Moreover, LeBron James, for example, will earn at 40 and 41 years more than Jordan himself as a player.
