Tracy Walker bids Detroit farewell with gratitude.

Tracy Walker’s tenure with the Detroit Lions looks to be over. Walker thanked the Lions fans on social media for their support throughout his six seasons in Detroit and offered a touching farewell.

The Lions defender with the longest contract, who is expected to make slightly less than $8 million in pay in 2024, was a healthy scratch for the majority of the second half of the season. Walker, 29, started six of the 17 games he played in during the previous season. In the end, he recorded 59 tackles, 2 interceptions, 1 forced fumble, and 1 sack.

Walker, a Louisiana native, was selected by the Lions as the 82nd overall choice in the third round of the 2018 NFL draft. Walker was a key member of the Lions’ secondary for the majority of his first four seasons, and on March 15, 2022, he agreed to a three-year, $25 million agreement. However, in Week 3, he suffered an Achilles tear, which prevented him from playing the rest of the 2022 season.

This past season, Walker would mostly play as a backup, however he did start five games when C.J. Gardner-Johnson had a torn pectoral muscle. Ifeatu Melifonwu took over his starting spot in the second half of the season.

Twice in his career, in 2019 (103 tackles) and 2021 (108 tackles), Walker has over 100 tackles. He has 398 tackles, 3 interceptions, and 4 sacks in 79 games (43 starts).

Former Ole Miss and NFL athlete Jerrell Powe will not be indicted by a grand jury.

RIDGELAND, Miss. According to his lawyer, a Mississippi grand jury has chosen not to indict former NFL player Jerrell Powe, who was taken into custody in 2023 on suspicion of kidnapping.

During his career, Davis played for the Seattle, San Francisco, Carolina, Atlanta, Chicago, and Baltimore teams. He finished with 2,052 rushing yards and 14 touchdowns and 1,066 receiving yards and four scores.

In 2020, he had a career-high 165 carries, 642 running yards, six rushing touchdowns, 59 catches, 373 receiving yards, and two receiving touchdowns in Carolina, which was his best season to date.

After being selected by San Francisco out of South Carolina in the fourth round of the 2015 NFL Draft, Davis played for two seasons with the 49ers, two seasons with the Seahawks, and two seasons with many other teams, including the Falcons, his hometown team, from 2019 to 22.

His final season in the league was in 2022, when he made eight appearances for Baltimore, gaining eight yards on eight carries.

In 2021, during his lone season with the team, Davis was nominated for the Walter Payton Man of the Year award in Atlanta.
